Last week we left you at Storm Reef, the start of the Swain network. In all we had five days of calm easterly weather which we used to explore several more reefs. Let’s go for a foray into the central-west part of the Swain Reefs.

Three words to describe our past week: Pain, Claim, Swain. What is this about, you ask? Pain refers to Wade’s shingles affliction, Claim is about the insurance assessor’s review, and Swain is where we have returned to on our way south!
After saying goodbye to our friends at Magnetic Island, it was time to resume our slow trek south. We might not be sailing much in the light conditions, but we are using the calmness to take a look at the next section of reefs on the 165 nm trip down from Townsville to the Whitsundays.
