Papa passed away last night. After a long and cruel time fighting cancer, he finally said « I have had enough ».
His last words were for the love of his life Colette. He would be relieved he is joining her at last. My sister Veronique, his grandson David were able to see him one last time. I was able to call him and tell him I love him.
We know it is a deliverance for him but we are still filled with sorrow.

I am so sad to hear the news of your Dad’s death, Chris. I know that the past few month have been especially tough on you as his physical condition has deteriorated and as quarantine restrictions have reinforced a greater sense of separation from him. I too believe that he is in a better place now. I have been attending a short church service (Compline) each weekday evening and will be sure to offer prayers for him and for your whole family this coming week.
