Goodbye Moreton Bay
We have started our trek north in earnest and said goodbye to Moreton Bay on Monday! We are now at K’gari (Fraser Island), keeping an eye on the weather forecasts for the Southern Reefs.
No luck finding a buddy boat yet!
Our attempts to secure a buddy boat for the Swains and southern Coral Sea Atolls have failed to date and we are therefore heading off on our own for now. Who knows, we might meet somebody on the way!
We are on our way, but!
We are on our second week of 25 to 30 knot Southeast, and the swell out at sea has been 2 to 2.5 meters. So guess what? We are on our way but have slightly altered our departure plans.
