We leave Townsville and in two big hops get back to Hayman Island in the Whitsundays. Calm weather ahead, so off to the Outer Reef again before more progress south.

A bit of maintenance and re-provisioning while at Airlie Beach, then we were ready to enjoy some calm conditions for snorkeling at Blue Pear Bay then the Outer Reef!
We are still at Fraser Island enjoying regular walks and bird watching, in between frequent downpours, which means… wait for it…. more dribbles!
While still waiting for our A frame to come back from the anodiser, we fill in time! Wade works on re-bedding the hatches and Chris compiles an underwater photography book.
Amazing but true, we are finally out of the marina! It has been another trying period. Getting anything done takes an inordinate amount of time and requires much follow up so you don’t drop off the tradies’ work list. But at last we can see the ocean instead of a breakwater wall. Mind you, we…
It is good to be back home with Wade, although with the jetlag, a cold and an aching body, I am not convinced I am good company! It is also back to a rather soggy Anui, as the weather in Australia is very wet! We will just say two words: monsoon and leaks… get the picture?
