Back south for a bit
Having come back to Cairns from our Coral Sea trip, we made the unusual decision to head back south for a bit! This post explains why and where we have got to.
Waiting for parts!
We have been at Airlie Beach for 12 days waiting for parts we ordered to arrive, one of them critical for us to get away, and as luck would have it, it is the one we still haven’t got. However there is a ‘but’!
Reef Reconnaissance off Mackay
With only a few days of calm weather sandwiched between long periods of 25-30 SE, we had to curtail our ambition to go out to the Coral Sea atoll of Marion Reef and instead opted to do a reconnaissance trip to the inner reefs 60-70 nm east of Mackay.
