Wild anchorages of the Furneaux Group
This week we experienced some wild days while visiting a few anchorages in the Furneaux Group! We are after all in the Roaring Forties where strong westerly winds blow and really pack a punch!
Passage South: Bittangabee to the Gippsland Lakes
Big milestone this week: we made it into the Gippsland Lakes with a stop at wild Gabo Island on the way. Since then we have been rushing around to catch up with local friends, pick up our guest Trevor, and get the boat ready to go again!
Passage South – Gerroa to Eden
We made it to Eden then Bittangabee on the south coast of NSW and have been in the region for a week, with persistent contrary winds. The long wait is almost over though!
