Anui is sailing again, after being out of action for weeks. We left the marina like a sling shot – free at last!
For our third and last post on life at the antipodes, we bring you an update that could be entitled “slow and steady”. Both of us are finding that our time apart feels a little long but it has been precious family time for me and my Dad.
We have spent 10 days in Port Macquarie, some on a public mooring in front of town, but most of the time up the Hastings River anchored fore and aft in front of our friends Lisa and Waz’s house. Coming to Port Macquarie is like coming home: so welcoming.
Joyeux Anniversaire Bengie! Our gorgeous girl is 12 years old today. So for her birthday we could not resist putting a post together with twelve of our favourite photos of her.
We got a Bengal Cat because they are ‘swimmer cats’ renowned for loving water – perfect for life on a boat, right? Well we were somehow short-changed with Bengie the Bengal. She likes water, but at a distance. This might have something to do with her falling overboard in winter as a kitten many years ago…
On this last day of 2017, we take a look back at our twelve favourite images, those that really encapsulated the mood and feel of each month as the year progressed.
Today is Bengie‘s birthday; she is 11! She is a very important member of the Take It Easy crew, and we love her dearly. On her special day, we have put her in charge of writing the post!
