For our third post in the Southern Whitsundays Series, we take you to Goldsmith Island where we spent a few days waiting for the strong southerly to calm down and sunny conditions to return.
We are now in the southern part of the Whitsundays, and area just northeast of Mackay. This post retraces our sails northward from the Keppels. We have been out of internet coverage ever since, so forgive our silence!

For our third and last post on life at the antipodes, we bring you an update that could be entitled “slow and steady”. Both of us are finding that our time apart feels a little long but it has been precious family time for me and my Dad.
We have spent 10 days in Port Macquarie, some on a public mooring in front of town, but most of the time up the Hastings River anchored fore and aft in front of our friends Lisa and Waz’s house. Coming to Port Macquarie is like coming home: so welcoming.
