At long last we have left Wilsons Promontory and reached Lakes Entrance at the Gippsland Lakes on Tuesday night in record time. It was a bit like coming home, the Lakes were after all our home port for many years. But this time Take It Easy turned into Speedy Gonzales, even with reduced sails!
We are getting awfully close to D Day now! In the midst of the mayhem that goes with packing away our land life has come a welcome interlude. We brought the boat from the Gippsland Lakes to Docklands in Melbourne.
Our last few trips to the boat have been hard work… But our most recent visit to the Gippsland Lakes was to finish off the last little bits on Take It Easy and at last after the Anzac Day long weekend, we can actually say the boat is as good as can be. We had time…
