Having spent a week in the Keppels, we left for the Southern Great Barrier Reef early this morning. It’s very exciting to be able to show this magnificent offshore region to our friend Sue and spend time each day exploring the cays and lagoons on our way south.

We made it back to the Keppels after three and a half days of spinnaker sailing and are now 220 nm south of the Whitsundays!
We came back to the Keppels for a break from the Reef and a choice of well sheltered anchorages behind these islands while stronger winds were blowing. We got that plus a bonus of school friends.
