Our life took a momentous turn in July 2017, when we moved on board Take It Easy to start our full time cruising life. We put together a summary of our experience for the yachting magazine Australian Multihull World.
Northern Migration relates our experience of starting our sea wanderers’ life in the middle of winter in southern waters – the good, the bad and the ugly! It was tough but unforgettable. Click on the image to read the article which has been published in the January-February 2018 issue of the magazine. You can also find it in the Published/ Amazing Experiences section of our website.
Congratulations on this well written article. I hope those people who read it learn from your experiences. Welcome home. 😃❤️
Hope so Sue! Thanks!
Wow! Great article about your voyage and thrills. Also the smart tips for other sailing the same route. Congratulations Chris! 🙂
Thanks HJ – always nice to see our work in print and we hope other sailors following our adventures puck up a few ideas.
Congratulations, Chris! Another great article and great photographs! I liked your comment about how winter sailing cuts down on the crowds – we found that in the Pacific NW in springtime too. And I had to laugh about your list of clothing items… It really is amazing how many clothes you can wear at once when you have to! Here’s to a bit of warm sailing now!
Thanks Ellen – we suspect your cold climate sailing clothes list would look much more severe than ours! Hopefully it will be warm climes now as we will follow the sun!
Hopefully it will be warm climes for us too!
