Having spent a week in the Keppels, we left for the Southern Great Barrier Reef early this morning. It’s very exciting to be able to show this magnificent offshore region to our friend Sue and spend time each day exploring the cays and lagoons on our way south.
Of course we were not going to sit idle at Monkey Beach, Great Keppel Island while we waited for our weather window. We could not resist the temptation to go for a snorkel each day. Every time is special with different fish and corals and we come back from our dives eager to share what we spied and photographed. Here is a gallery of our latest… We were all a little smitten by the Green Sea Turtles, the Giant Clams and the Scribbled Angelfish. While at the Reef we will be without internet or phone, but we will share our experiences there with you on our return to the mainland back at Bundaberg. See you in a week or so!
